Wendy Nemitz and Dawn Wagenaar presented at the Leading Edge Alliance Europe Conference held in Lisbon, Portugal on December 5-6, 2008. They gave three sessions: "Your Virtual Brand: Website 2.0," "Creating Space to Lead" and "Managing in a Downturn."
Christine Nelson and Katie Kalkman wrote the article "Social Media Avenues Expand Networking, Visibility" which shares how manufacturers can leverage social media. It was published in the Nov/Dec 2008 issue of Precision Manufacturing, the journal of the Minnesota Precision Manufacturing Association (MPMA).
Liz Kuntz and Rachel Gold presented "Market Yourself Online: LinkedIn and Other Social Networks" to the Society for Marketing Professional Services on December 4, 2008.

Wendy Nemitz spoke to the Society of Marketing Professional Services – Twin Cities chapter on October 15 about the marketing trends in the legal and accounting worlds. The SMPS-TC membership is made up of marketing and business development professionals who work in the architecture, engineering, construction (A/E/C) industry.
Rachel Gold and Christine Nelson presented to the Association for Accounting Marketing – Minnesota Chapter on October 14. Their presentation was called "Virtual Fame: How the Internet is Challenging the Rules of PR."
Finance and Commerce recently announced that Wendy Nemitz was chosen as one of the 2008 Top Women in Finance. The awards program, now in its eighth year, is reserved for women who have made significant contributions to the financial services industry by positively influencing their businesses and communities.

Ingenuity took a walk on the wild side at the national AAM conference – "Wild on Marketing" – June 3-6, 2008, in San Diego, California. It was a blast, but how could it not be as Dawn co-chaired the entire conference and will do so again next year. As part of her co-chair duties, Dawn Wagenaar had several "hosting" commitments throughout the conference. The craziest one being the conference's opening welcome, which she did with the other co-chair, the AAM president and a professional actor monkey that was short on sleep and therefore not in the mood to follow the script. If the video isn't on YouTube, it should be! For the second year in a row, Ingenuity had a booth in the exhibit hall; it was just as popular as last year's booth. The theme of the booth this year was "Born to be Wild." In between sessions, Dawn and Liz Kuntz could be found taking photos of attendees who were able to dress up in some wild gear and pose on a Harley.
Wendy Nemitz wrote a book review on David Meerman Scott's book, "The New Rules of Marketing and PR: How to Use News Releases, Blogs, Podcasting, Viral Marketing and Online Media to Reach Buyers Directly," for the Executive Read feature of the St. Paul Pioneer Press Sunday business section. She received a personal thank you from the author!
Wendy Nemitz and Dawn Wagenaar presented "Creating Space" for the Leading Edge in Chicago on June 9th where they discussed how to create space to win and move ahead in facilitated large group sessions and idea sharing.

Liz Kuntz was elected to the Legal Marketing Association - Minnesota Chapter (LMA-MN) board of directors as a Member-at-Large and co-chair of the LMA-MN annual conference. She was also recently featured in the member spotlight area of the LMA-MN web site.
